Equipment by Practice Group
SeaWolves swimmers are asked to bring their own equipment to the pool for practice daily. Having their own mesh bag with name marked on it makes it easier for them to keep things together.
When swimmers need equipment, simply fill out an order form and put it in the lock box on front of the swimmers mailbox (on the deck or in the storage room). We ask each swimmer to have the following equipment:
Introduction to Competitive Swimming:
No special equipment needed.
Fins and kickboard.
Bronze and Silver Group Practice:
Fins, kickboard, and Strokemaker hand paddles (green or red)*.
Gold and Senior Group:
H2 fins, pull buoy, kickboard, snorkel, Strokemaker hand paddles (green or yellow)*.
*Strokemaker hand paddles: These should be purchased only after a coach indicates which color (size) to buy. The incorrect size can contribute to shoulder problems.
THIS IS A TEAM SPORT!
For swim meets, you should wear a Brentwood SeaWolves (BSW) swim cap for warm-ups and competition. Reference the "Swimming Team Caps - Latex or Silicone" section under the Apparel/Gear tab for ordering information. Our competition team suit is offered through Arena. Reference the "Swimming Team Suits, Warm-ups, Gear Bag" section under the Apparel/Gear tab for ordering information. Team t-shirts and/or team warm-ups should be worn to all swim meets. During practice, swimmers are welcome to wear any standard competitive swimsuit they wish.
Important: High-level championship swim suits are used only for certain selected high level meets to be determined by the coaching staff. Speak to the coach BEFORE purchasing a championship meet suit.
