Training Equipment by Practice Group
All SeaWolves swimmers are asked to bring their own equipment to the pool for practice daily. Having their own mesh bag with name marked on it makes it easier for them to keep things together. When swimmers need equipment, simply fill out an order form and put it in the lock box on front of the swimmers mailbox (on the deck or in the storage room). We ask each swimmer to have the following equipment:
Introduction to Competitive Swimming Practice: Goggles, swim cap, suit and towel.
Age-Group Practice: Mesh bag, goggles, fins, water bottle w/name, suit and towel.
Bronze and Silver Group Practice: Mesh bag, goggles (extra pair suggested), swim cap, fins, water bottle w/name, pull buoy, kickboard, snorkel, *Strokemaker hand paddles, suit and towel.
Gold and Senior Group: Mesh bag, goggles (extra pair suggested), swim cap, fins, water bottle w/name, pull buoy, kickboard, snorkel, *Strokemaker hand paddles, Tempo Trainer, suit and towel.
THIS IS A TEAM SPORT!
For swim meets you should wear a Brentwood SeaWolves ‘BSW’ swim cap for warm-ups and competition. Caps are available in latex ($6) or silicone ($10). They are usually available for purchase at swim meets or during practice. Our competition team suit is solid black or navy. Team t-shirts and/or sweats should be worn to all swim meets. Important: High level championship swim suits are used only for certain selected high level meets to be determined by the coaching staff. Speak to the coach BEFORE purchasing a championship meet suit. During practice, swimmers are welcome to wear any standard competitive swim suit they wish.
*Strokemaker Paddles: These should be purchased only after a coach has indicated which color (size) to buy. The incorrect size can contribute to shoulder problems.
Note: The Brentwood SeaWolves are sponsored by Finis, Inc.
