Diamond Hills Facility Expectations for Swimmers/Families

Hello BSW Swimmers and Families!

I have been asked to send out a couple of friendly reminders as the Aquatics Director at Diamond Hills (and as one of the BSW coaches).

Diamond Hills Staff are requesting that all swimmers/families please review the following facility rules and expectations. (Failure to meet expectations of the club rules may result in removal of privileges at the club facility.)

Swimmers/Families:

  • ALL swimmers and families must check in at the front desk upon arrival at the gym. Have your membership cards ready to go to avoid backing up the entry. Do not walk into the facility without doing so.
  • Please PARK to drop off swimmers. The front entrance is not a loading zone.
  • Please NO swimmers (unattended or otherwise) in the Adult Locker Rooms. Please advise ALL swimmers under 17 to use the JUNIOR Locker Rooms only. This applies to all groups on BSW.
    • Please respect the locker rooms at all times. No hiding, playing, messing around, wasting resources.
  • No running on the pool deck. (Duh!) Especially not running and diving into the pools.
  • Swimmers may use the FAMILY hot tub ONLY (no ADULT hot tub) if they are directly supervised by their own parent or guardian (not 1 parent for 12 kids). Privileges can be revoked for all swim team members if this is abused.
    • If swimmers are 13 and older, they may be in the FAMILY hot tub without supervision, as long as good behavior is still upheld.
    • No playing/jumping/horse play in the hot tub, be respectful of other members and families that utilize the facilities.
  • Do not swim/play in the Covered Pool at any time - that is reserved for older members, lap swimming/walking, and swim lessons ONLY.
  • Since we are now sharing the facility with another swim team, we are kindly asking all swimmers to refrain from playing and interfering with any swim teams in the Family Pool until Summer. (The BSW Coaching staff has already noticed and called out behaviors in the Family Pool that are unsafe. Parents need to supervise their swimmers to help the club facility remain safe and respectful for all members.
  • As always, please respect all facility services and staff members. And if you see something, please say something to a trusted adult.
Let me know if there are any questions. I know that this may be a disappointment to many families, but we have multiple swim teams that require all 8 lanes of our 2 pools, and we have to respect that need. We are hoping to be clear with all programs that utilize the facility to meet the expectations. We want our staff, members, and facility to be as respected as possible! 🙂

Thank you very much for your time and cooperation with all this. (It is short-lived!) Please feel free to reach out to me ([email protected]) if you have any questions or complaints regarding the DHSC facility rules.

We will see you this afternoon!

BSW Coaches (and Coach Vivian (AD) on behalf of Diamond Hills Sports Club)
